What every contractor must hold

Before a contractor receives a single dispatch, we verify all of the following and re-verify annually.

• Active locksmith license or registration wherever the state or municipality requires one.
• General liability insurance with a minimum $1,000,000 per-occurrence limit.
• Commercial auto coverage on every service vehicle.
• A criminal background screening completed within the last 12 months.
• A photo ID badge tied to the license number shown in your tracking screen.

States that license locksmiths directly

Alabama, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia maintain state-level locksmith licensing or registration programs. In those states we record the license number and confirm it against the issuing agency.

Elsewhere, licensing may be handled at the city or county level, or not at all. In unregulated jurisdictions our own insurance, screening, and workmanship standards still apply in full.

How to verify the tech at your door

We text you the assigned technician's name, license number, and vehicle before they arrive. Compare that to the badge and the van when they pull up.

If the name, license number, or vehicle does not match, do not let them begin work. Call dispatch at (888) 555-0199 and we will confirm or reassign immediately.

Reporting a problem

Email dispatch@lockoutrescue.com with your job ID. Verified complaints about pricing that deviates from an approved written quote, damage without authorization, or credential mismatches result in immediate removal from the network.
